OpenScan (“the app”) is developed by SLMP Tech. The app uses your device camera only to scan documents, and scans are stored locally on your device. We do not collect or sell your personal data. The app shows ads through Google AdMob, which may collect device identifiers such as the advertising ID, approximate location derived from your IP address, and usage data to show and measure ads. 📷 1. Camera Usage & Local Storage
OpenScan requires permission to access your device camera solely for the functionality of capturing and scanning physical documents, receipts, business cards, notes, or IDs. All scanned images, text extractions, and compiled documents remain stored locally on your device storage. SLMP Tech does not access, upload, transmit, or retain your camera scans or files on any remote servers.
🛡️ 2. Advertising & Third-Party Services (Google AdMob)
We do not collect or sell your personal data. To support the continued development and free availability of OpenScan, the app displays advertisements through Google AdMob. Google AdMob may collect and process device-level identifiers including:
- Device advertising identifiers (such as the Android Advertising ID / GAID).
- Approximate geographical location derived from your device IP address.
- App analytics, crash reports, and advertisement interaction data to deliver and measure ad performance.
